Complete outline of Comic Life

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Comic Life

I want you to plan out the comic you will be creating in Comic Life. First, you need to pick an issue that appeared during the organizational period of Confederation. The issue could be from a particular province. For example, what were the issues for New Brunswick vs. Quebec? If you want to concentrate on Quebec then perhaps you could deal with the issue of language. It could be as simple as having a man in the middle of two signs, one English, one French and being pulled between the two signs. Think outside the box though...there are lots of different issues and this is where you should start. I'm not expecting you to come to class tomorrow with the outline completed but I would like you to have an idea of where you going with the cartoon.

Homework

Work on KB from home tonight if you did not finish contributing information today. Work on the Comic Life planning sheet.

Study for The Giver spelling test.

Muhammad...all the books/notes you said that were stolen from your locker??? were in my mailbox. You must have left them behind in a class and the teacher put them in my box. I'll give them to you tomorrow.

Thank-you

Thank you very much 8 Galli for the amazing party. I know you went to a lot of work to organize it. The cake was amazing! Thank you for decorating the room during your lunch break. I'm sorry that I gave you that Math quiz...but I needed to get that out of the way to continue writing my report cards over the weekend. I owe you a good day, so perhaps we'll do something fun on Friday (before March Break)...don't ask me about it tomorrow, it'll be a surprise. Thank you to Kashifa, Nashmiya and Sahreen for the chocolate. I can't wait to get to school tomorrow to open my fridge and start eating it. Sohum and Muhammad, your gifts were beautiful! I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.

See you tomorrow

8 Galli is the best!

Amir...thank-you for offering to help me. I will let you be in charge of the keys of my mercedes and the moving of the boxes. You will need a few classmates to help you though. Sorry about the misspelling of the your name Lloyd...
As for the math test, it will be 5 questions and they will all be word problems.

I missed you!

Hello everyone....Hope you had a good couple of days without me. I will be back tomorrow and I'll need help in the morning because my car is full of books. We spent nearly $10000.00 on books today. Llyod, if the math is too much, don't fret...we can do some of it tomorrow. Sohum, the English will be due on Monday. I do plan to give you a math test tomorrow. It will be a short, problem based test on algebra.

Updated News

As you know, I won't be at school tomorrow or Thursday. I'm at a smartboard conference on Wednesday and a bookfair on Thursday.

Mr. Katsuras will give you the History test tomorrow. It's on Chapters 1-5. Most of the questions on the test are topics we have discussed in class.

I know you'll all be well-behaved for Mr. Katuras and Ms. Graham.

Hopefully, I'll have all the essays marked by Friday when I get back. I will also be taking up the History work that Ms. Graham gives you. Make sure it is complete for Friday.
